Best Places to Fish Near Big Pine
Owens River
The Owens River flows through the Big Pine area and offers excellent trout fishing throughout much of the year. Several sections are open year-round under varying regulations, making the river a favorite destination for fly anglers and conventional anglers alike. Baker Creek
Flowing from the high country west of Big Pine, Baker Creek provides scenic trout fishing in a mountain setting. Water conditions vary throughout the season, with the best access typically available from late spring through fall.
Big Pine Creek
Big Pine Creek winds through one of the Eastern Sierra’s most spectacular canyons before flowing into the Owens Valley. Anglers will find opportunities for trout fishing in both lower sections of the creek and farther upstream near the trailhead.
Big Pine Creek North Fork
